The Dallas Cowboys are an American Football League team in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area of Texas, belonging to the National League East. It is headquartered in Frisco and plays its home game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
In 1960, the Cowboys joined the major leagues as an expansion team. This team has a large number of fans, which is best represented by its continuous sales record in the NFL. Beginning in 2000, the Cowboys sold out 190 consecutive regular season and playoff games (home and away).
This team has entered the Super Bowl eight times, the most in NFC history, and is tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos for the second-most Super Bowl appearances in history, second only to the New England Patriots' 11 times. The Cowboys have won five of their eight Super Bowls and are tied for first place in the NFC with their NFC rivals the San Francisco 49ers, and second only to the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots in the league. The Cowboys had more wins than losses for 20 consecutive seasons from 1966 to 1985, and only failed to make the playoffs twice (1974 and 1984). This record has not been broken to this day.
